This is not to suggest that Terry's commercial work pales in comparison. On the contrary: from the earliest incarnations of Seattle's Canlis Restaurant in the late 1940s through the myriad restaurants, shops, hotels, and offices designed in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, Terry created a striking and original body of institutional buildings and interiors, including the original Nordstrom flagship store in downtown Seattle, the Half MoonHotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the Kahala Hilton (now Mandarin Oriental) Hotel in Honolulu.

The Song of Roland - The Song of Roland (La Chanson de Roland) is an 11th-century epic poem about the Battle of Roncevaux Pass (or Roncesvalles) fought by Roland and his fellow paladins. The Song is written in Old French and is based on historical events surrounding the battle of August 15, 778 in which the rear-guard of Charlemagne's retreating Franks was attacked by Basques seeking revenge for the Frankish attack on Pamplona, Spain in the ensuing massacre, Roland of the Brittany Marches ...

Roland Juno-60 - The Roland Juno-60 was a popular digital/analogue 61-key polyphonic synthesizer produced by Roland Corporation in the early 1980's. This instrument was succeeded by the Roland Juno-106 in 1984.

Roland Bolt 60 - The Roland Bolt 60 was the first and only tube guitar amplifier produced by Roland. The amplifier was launched in the market around 1979 when the Roland company was trying to pursue the success of the Mesa Boogie Mark amplifiers.

Stade de Roland Garros - Stade de Roland Garros (Roland Garros Stadium) is located in southwest Paris, France, and has been the home of the French Open Grand Slam tennis tournament, played every year in May and June. The stadium is named after Roland Garros, an early French aviator and a fighter aircraft pilot during World War I, who, on September 23 1913, had become the first man to fly a plane over the Mediterranean.
